> land
The bulk of this website's HTML and CSS were written on the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, New York City: the traditional homelands of the Canarsie, Rockaway, and Lenape peoples, some of the many tribes who have called Long Island (traditionally known as Paumanauke or Sewanhackey), home. Thanks to Joe Whittle for the land acknowledgement he shared with us at the Walking Collective, to Jeremy Dennis for his project On This Site: Native Long Island, and to Native Land Digital. Thanks to the caretakers of this land.
